I get a common question from people asking “how do I get people to be interested in what I have?” or “how do I get people to buy my products?”. Well, you have to offer value!

You have to give them something that they can use and relate to, whether that be some type of report, a tool, or just some advice. Make it unique, and make it something that they could not get from somewhere else.

Successful Tip #2. Build Long-Lasting Relationships

Believe it or not, I have created many different successful online businesses just because of relationships I’ve had. Not because my product was awesome. Not because my sales page converted super-good. Because of the people I knew.

Building relationships will allow others to help promote your online business, and overall, it will build trust for you. Do not underestimate how important relationships can be in your online business.

Successful Tip #3. Get On Top of New Developments

Keep your eyes and ears open for anything new that is coming out that will help you and your visitors. If you are the first to share something with your visitors, your trust and authority instantly shots up.

For example, look at mobile marketing. That has blown up in 2010. It is now the new thing that a bunch of online businesses are using to get sales and new customers.

Successful Tip #4. Test, Test, and Test… and Track

Once you start to see constant sales coming in and a substantial amount of money, be sure you are tracking everything! Track where your sales are coming from and figure out what you can do to get more traffic from that source.

You don’t need to invest in a thousand dollar tracking software. There are actually many alternatives out there. Instead, try using Google Website Optimizer instead. It’s totally free, and is just as good!

Successful Tip #5. Repeat What Works

This may be a complete no-brainer for some, but once you figure out what is working (and to figure out what’s working, you have to test and track, see tip #4) you should then do it over and over again.

If you find one traffic source that is bring in a bunch of sales, try to find another traffic source that is very similar to that. This will help you focus your energy on something that is truly going to bring you sales and increase your online business.
